The audio recording of Arizona Republican Party chairman, Jeff DeWit attempting to bride Kari Lake not to run for the United States Senate is astonishing. We all knew that this is how things were done, or at least we all suspected it, but to hear it actually taking place is quite unsettling. He told her he represented powerful people, "back east". He said they wanted her to stay out of politics for two years, and that if she scratched their backs, they would scratch hers. He says, "It's a back scratching club." He asked her what her price was, and when she said she could not be bought for any price and suggested that they would have to kill her, he said, "The cartels are in all 50 states." When you listen to this recording it sounds like Kari Lake may be in a lot of danger, but upon deeper reflection you realize that we are all in a lot of danger. Who are the powerful people back east?
