If some leftists say now that there was a Muslim occupation of Spain. Yeah, buy it was an occupation! And was fought out of Europe in the reconquista. And there were 2 sieges of Vienna by the Ottomans and they were driven out. In these times no idiots called left-wing Europe-haters were in power.
By the way, the IJC ruled on Friday on the release of the Israeli hostages - without conditions. Do you think the Islamists will act upon it? Oh dream on!
About the "innocent civilians" lie: you might argue now that they do exist because they protest now in Gaza. But I may remind you that the same people (have) participated a) in the lie, b) in electing Hama's, c) in committing the crimes of October 7th, d) in celebrating the massacres and rapes, e) in raping, torturing and humiliating the hostages etc and surprisingly it took these same people who claim now to be anti-Hamas 3 months to find out they are against Hamas. Now that they see that Israel means business and the Arab world doesn't really stand with them.. Very convincing!

To say something about scientists - and I experienced them myself - there are dogmas, ideologies and deep believes in scientists. The idea that "science is about facts" is a myth. And it is very hard to overcome ideologies ( my professor acted on the dogma "the dialectologist makes the dialect". I disagreed, well..). You have that all over also in natural science. Hence, no surprises here. And when I sat 2 years as a student's representative in the senate of my university I was just shocked. If you want to go for real science my advice: marry rich and do research privately, not attached to any university.
Remarkable here is also that no biblical scholar was interviewed or biblical science and Hebrew linguistics were not even considered - by the most archeologists!
