Joe Kent: Going to War With Iran Is ‘Incredibly Foolish’

Three U.S. troops were killed in Jordan by what is alleged to be Iranian proxy forces, using a drone attack near the Syrian border.

Several Republican senators, including Lindsey Graham, are urging President Joe Biden to retaliate:

Graham’s direct quote: “Hit Iran now. Hit them hard.”

Retired Green Beret and Republican candidate Joe Kent criticizes the situation as inevitable, given the deployment of U.S. troops in the region with unclear missions.

He says, “We left our troops in these outposts... really with no mission except for to act as targets.”

Kent suggested that the push for war is driven by the military-industrial complex and neoconservative ideology, profiting from continuous conflict:

“They will always advocate for the next war because it fits in with their business interest, their business model.”
