Granblue Fantasy Relink - Is It a Gacha Game or a Live Service Game?

With Granblue Fantasy Relink early access starting today, many are curious if it is a Gacha game or a live service game. I will try to give a Granblue Fantasy review or first impressions when I dive into Granblue Fantasy Relink gameplay later today.

But the question about ongoing content or microtransactions is still unclear. They have said it is not a live service game with respect to daily or weekly activities, but they do seem to want to support the game ongoing. And they said they will speak to microtransactions and Granblue Fantasy Relink characters and DLC in the future.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is an upcoming action role-playing game by Cygames as part of the Granblue Fantasy franchise. The game is scheduled to release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows on February 1, 2024.
