When the pandemic started, he teamed up with retired Lieutenant Colonel David Redman of Alberta to co-write some articles for newspapers pointing to the success that Sweden was having with their approach to the pandemic. “I was very surprised that the reaction was almost uniformly hostile,” he said. Taking a different view than the government narrative was absolutely discouraged by the media.
