I hope the irony of this ballot measure being pushed by a union seeking to punish individuals for protesting (staging a walk-out, going on strike) isn't lost on the people.

I understand Measure 113 was passed only in recent time, but, tactics such as what the republicans have done are tactics which both parties have utilized - the difference - see above
