জার্মানি বিশ্বের অন্যতম প্রধান শিল্পোন্নত দেশ। দেশটির অর্থনীতি মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্র, চীন ও জাপানের পরে বিশ্বের চতুর্থ বৃহত্তম। একইসাথে দেশটি ইউরোপীয় ইউনিয়নের অন্যতম প্রধান অর্থনৈতিক চালিকাশক্তি। উত্তরে ঢেউ খেলানো পাহাড় ও নদী উপত্যকা এবং দক্ষিণে ঘন অরণ্যাবৃত আল্পস পর্বতমালা দেশটির ভূ-প্রকৃতিকে বৈচিত্র্যময় করেছে। দেশটির মধ্য দিয়ে ইউরোপের অনেকগুলি প্রধান নদী যেমন- রাইন, দানিউব, এলবে প্রবাহিত হয়েছ।
