The most effective and feared assassin's guild in the Western Fortunes, the Unsaken are a secret strike force deployed by the wealthiest princes to shape the political landscape in their favor.

Although the Unsaken predate the coming of the Warlocks of Eoln by at least two millennia, they were enslaved by them and now serve them as a private guerilla army. The Unsaken are one of two brigade-level forces directly controlled by the Warlocks of Eoln. The other is the ferocious Hosk.

The Unsaken specialize in infiltration, espionage, kidnapping, sabotage, and assassination. Unable or unwilling to speak, the Unsaken are reinforced by forbidden sorcery that magnifies their already cabalistic reputation. Though dangerous, they are not invincible. When slain, an Unsaken spontaneously combusts and is swiftly reduced to ash.

According to legend, the Unsaken originate from the Island of the Whip.
In Raider’s Moon, the Unsaken constantly seek to destabilize the Sabler occupation of Anzioch.
