(When Winning Souls can be Hard and Easy)

Text: Luke 19:1-10
Objective: that the brethren may be loving and persistent enough to pursue souls like the Lord has, for them to be saved
Intro:
Define – seek, save, pursue, persistence, hard, easy

Things to consider in winning souls that can be both hard and easy:
1. There are and will come some very good opportunities to win souls – v.1
a. “Jesus passed through”
b. Take the opportunities and let it not pass you by
2. There will be souls that is more difficult to win than others – vv.2-3
a. Chief of publicans, rich, little of stature, the press
b. It doesn’t mean it is impossible – “he sought to see Jesus”
3. If there’s a will, there’s a way – v. 4
a. Way for the soulwinner and the would-be believer – “climbed up”
b. We may have to make greater effort to win others, but still it can be done
4. It is the Lord that does the calling and saving – vv.5-6
a. Present Jesus and make Him know very clearly to people, and soulwinning can be very easy
b. Realize that souls indeed can be and will be saved – 1Jn. 5:13
5. Hope for the best but prepare for worst – vv. 7-9
a. There will be oppositions
b. Expect and Anticipate to witness the ever joyous moment when one is saved
6. The Lord will be the one that do the seeking and saving, but we should be instrumental on the same – v.10
a. Son of man – notice the emphasis

Message/conclusion:

Let us be loving and persistent enough to pursue souls like the Lord has, for them to be saved. Let’s go soulwinning!
