John and Marlene Strege did more than become the first couple to adopt a frozen embryo and carry it through to the birth of their daughter, Hannah. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Gary Bauer concludes his enlightening discussion with John, Marlene, and Hannah about how they stood firmly on God’s biblical principles and fought for the rights of the unborn. Whether in the womb or as a frozen, fertilized egg, hear how Marlene testified boldly that embryos are human beings, and should not be treated as “spare parts” in an attempt to save another life.

About Today's Guests: John, Marlene, and Hannah Strege
John Strege is a semi-retired sportswriter and the author of eight books, including "In the Big Inning" and "A Snowflake Named Hannah: Ethics, Faith, and the First Adoption of a Frozen Embryo." John and his wife, Marlene, have one grown daughter, Hannah, who is the first adopted frozen embryo, or “snowflake child.”

Marlene Strege is a retired occupational therapist and a graduate of the University of Southern California. For over two decades, she has been passionate about supporting embryo adoption families on their journeys.

Hannah Strege is a newly-licensed social worker, who recently received her master’s degree in social work from Baylor University. Prior to that, she earned a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Biola University. Hannah is the first adopted frozen embryo in the world, and aspires to one day open her own adoption counseling practice.
