My guest is Charles E Carlson and six friends started and funded We Hold These Truths (WHTT) as a mission for peace. In March 2002, Carlson made a one-man visit to Gaza. There he stayed with several Scandanavian and American Missionaries, who had chosen to remain there when their denomination left, fearing the danger from reoccurring Israeli air bombardment. Carlson saw and recorded one of these attacks in an amateur documentary called Roots of Christian Zionism.

Christian Zionism is confusing because it supports world war politics while masquerading as a faith, and its members usually do not know it. WHTT may have been the first to define it as: “the belief that the present-day State of Israel is the fulfillment of Biblical prophesy.” As such, Israel has assumed a semi-god status in the minds of some 50 million or more professing Christians.

WHTT’s purpose is to educate many Christian Zionists who unknowingly justify mass killings in the Middle East, euphemistically called “wars.” WHTT finds deliberate scriptural errors are promoted to churches by organizations that profit from war.
