OREGON - HIGH ELECTRIC RATES? How did this happen?

PGE & Pacific Power have increased their rates dramatically in Oregon.
How did that happen? In 2021 the Clean Energy Bill was passed which mandated PGE & Pacific Power to adopt green energy standards. All generated energy MUST come from GREEN sources, IE; wind turbines, solar panels etc. In order to create the new sources PGE & PACIFIC Power are being held to that standard and the PUC a 2 person board (appointed by the governor) recently approved the new rates to be effective January 2024.
