The dumbing down of the American society has been a long and arduous goal of the elite in this country going back to the early 20th century, perhaps longer. They have worked hard to herd the children of the masses into public institutions that are designed to socialize and indoctrinate them, but never educate them. These elitists would never send their own children to these institutions. Their children go to private schools where they are educated to be leaders, and there would be no one to follow if everyone was educated to lead. This is why it is important to keep the masses dumb, because it is easier to rule and govern over dumb people. The government spends hundreds of billions on public education annually, and spends more and more each year, but the product that the schools are producing is a less educated society. Either the schools are failing, or they are doing exactly what they are designed to do. Is there any evidence that the society is being intentionally dumbed down?
