Jennifer Dulos was last seen on May 24, 2019. After being notified of her disappearance, police searched her home and found multiple blood stains that appeared to have been cleaned up and evidence of foul play. The primary suspect was her husband, Fotis Dulos, who was in the middle of a contested divorce with Jennifer. It is believe that Fotis Dulos murdered Jennifer Dulos on May 24, 2019 after she dropped her children off at school.

Investigators used CCTV footage to discover that Fotis Dulos and his mistress, Michelle Troconis, dumping garbage bags all over the area surrounding on May 24, 2019. Police charged Fotis Dulos and Michelle Troconis with evidence tampering and hindering prosecution on June 1, 2019.

Troconis and Dulos were charged with the murder of Jennifer Dulos on January 7, 2020. On January 28, 2020, Fotis Dulos attempted suicide via an overdose, and then later died on January 30, 2020.

In October 24, 2023, a Probate Court in Connecticut declared her dead.
