CREATING A SOCIAL IDENTITY

Social identity explains that people are drawn to the social groups with which they have a lot in common. For instance, people identify themselves based on their religion, race, or ethnicity. A person's social identification stems from their experiences during various interactions, which create a sense of who they are.
