George W Bush attended a reading class with children from a Sarasota elementary school.

By the end of the video someone will come and tell him that “The nation is under attack” as the story goes. What’s incredible isn’t that they got this on video, or that he was in the perfect place from a publicity standpoint, but what is truly interesting is the words these children learned to read that day.

It’s almost as though they are part of a ritual ceremony. Repeating words over and over. Which words they learn is what makes me interested.
