Mythological Man Ransacks Underworld; Shenanigans Ensue! | HADES Pt.1 (PS5 Gameplay)

HADES is a Roguelike game from Supergiant Games, creators of Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre- wherein KYLE PLAYS as Zagreus, immortal son of HADES, Dark Lord of the Underworld (who's actually just kind of a grouchy boomer dad), on his epic quest to escape from the underworld!

- Greek Mythology- reimagined for Modern Sophisticated Cool Kids! (Ares is a black guy! Which would be kind of weird if Ares himself was supposed to be Greek, but he's not- he's an Olympian- and they ain't even real, so sure, why not? Also, that means the Greeks *worshipped* a black guy. Very nice. We see you, Hades.)

Hades has been cited among the Greatest Video Games of ALL TIME, with critics praising its narrative, gameplay, art style, music, and voice acting. It sold more than a million copies[1] and was named GAME OF THE YEAR by several award ceremonies and "media publications" (lol). A cleverly named sequel, Hades II, was announced in 2022. (I definitely wrote that paragraph myself and did *not* copy/paste it, as you can clearly see from the "[1]" citation that I left in there.)

In the basically impossible chance that Kyle "dies"- obviously, That Didn't Count- but still, "Death" is, at worst, a momentary inconvenience for Kyle, as he will promptly return to The House of Hades to chillax with his NPC bros, level up, unlock dialogue trees, pet Cerberus (you can *triple* pet the dog, 30/10, Game of the Forever), forget what he was doing/wander around aimlessly (it do be like that), and let his thumbs rest from mashing the X Button 37 times a second for an entire hour nonstop (seriously, that does become kind of a thing after the first hour or so).

HADES features an easy to learn, but hard to master Hack-and-Slash combat system, where Kyle will use a combination of:
A Weapon Main ATTACK (Normal hitting/combos stuff)
A Weapon SPECIAL move (Usually a slower, AOE/Utility attack)
A Magic CAST attack (Default shoot red thing- changes with Boons)
A DASH Move (Woosh! Woosh! Nyooom!)

...to obliterate enemies while I-Framing through damage like SANIC (Woosh!). While Zagreus can hypothetically 'die' in a run, he keeps all the Treasure (!!) he collects along the way- except the coins for Charon (the grumbly dude), but close enough.

TREASURE, such as:
"Darkness", which once washed over The Dude. (The Purple Stuff! It's XP)
Keys (The Key Things! Unlock/Upgrade NEW WEAPONS)
Gems (The Gem Things! Buys 'stuff'.)
Nectar (The Orange Juice! Buys people- in a totally not weird, *mostly* platonic way.)
Titan Blood!! (The ish that looks like 'Titan Blood'!!! Is Metal AF/Super Upgrade Weapons)
and.... more!

What could possibly go wrong?
