President Donald Trump has continually discussed his commitment to putting an end to the endless wars and the threat of nuclear war. He has outlined plans for building a missile defense system. Many of you have heard President Donald Trump make reference to his uncle John G Trump who served for decades as Professor at MIT. Trump has spoken about discussions he and this uncle would have on the subject of nuclear energy. I was fascinated to know who this man was.

When I learned that a great research project was started recently making public the works and writing of John Trump, I started digging in. I realized this was not just a MIT professor, but someone who was a part of a great scientific brain trust whose discoveries are continuing to impact frontier research in scientific advances today.
