PROTEST MARCH NO. 9 - AGAINST THE CYBERCRIME BILL & ITS BROAD NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON THE BAJAN PUBLIC

A big crowd turned out to protest against the new draconian measures being imposed on the public of Barbados through the Cyber Crime Bill, which intends to confiscate electronic devices (smart phones, laptop, tablets, computers etc) should any one post any messages on any social media platform, whether true or not, that is likeky to cause ridicule or embarrassment will be guilty of an offense and is liable to a fine of $70,000 dollars and or 7 years imprisonment.
