She is a Professional Artist and Published Writer. Tammy also has a Certificate in Horticultural Therapy, Garden Design, Mediumship, Sound Healing and Crystal Healing. She is a Reiki Master and a Traditional Kokòmis (which requires going through a fasting ceremony after menopause representing the last stage of life on the medicine wheel).

Her heritage is an eclectic mix including being an Algonquin Woman whose spirit name is Amkwina (meaning Ancestor Whisperer Nourishing Woman Who Prays). She comes from a long line of healers including her Algonquin Ancestor whose name was Swamp Medicine Woman. She is a Pipe Carrier and a Traditional Drummer/Singer and has been assisting with Moon Ceremonies for several years with her Cree Elder. She is also studying Herbalism, Astrology, Numerology, Animal Reiki and Animal Communication. She is in the process of incorporating all of her teachings into her genealogy business as she believes that each one contributes to self healing of body, mind and soul.
