2️⃣ Overpacking
Bringing 37 outfits for a weekend trip to a resort, where you will be spending a whole day by the pool. you don’t need 23 pairs of underwear, 9 high heel shoes and a winter jacket ... just in case. Less is more! And ... if you really need it, you can buy something new.

3️⃣ Forgetting to notify the bank of future foreign transactions
If you don’t want your card to get blocked, inform your bank about your travel plans. And carry some cash just in case. I forgot to do it twice, and my card got blocked due to ‘unusual activity’ in my home country.

4️⃣ Not knowing any phrases in a local language Despite the popular belief, not everyone speaks English. While you don’t have to be fluent in the destination language, learning basic phrases how to say Please and Thank you is a must.

5️⃣ Wearing expensive jewelry/valuables and attracting pickpocketers
Locals usually notice the tourists from a mile away. so why draw any more attention to yourself (especially if traveling solo) ? Don’t wear expensive jewelry to avoid being an easy target for pickpocketers.
