Many Zionists object to the characterization and point to the freedoms enjoyed by Israeli Arabs, who can vote and even serve in the Knesset.

As Aaron Maté points out, however, Israeli Arabs represent just a fraction of the Arabs living within the Israeli government’s domain.

And Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza pointedly do NOT enjoy any of those FREEDOMS.
