Runs 3:07 | Sept. 9, 1979 - The Lions rallied from a 21-point fourth quarter deficit in Pontiac to tie the score, 24-24, with 2:13 left in the game, but Mark Moseley's 41-yard FG with :08 left sealed a Washington 27-24 triumph. Moseley missed a 46-yard attempt one play earlier, but Detroit was penalized five yards for having 12 men on the field and the Washington kicker got another chance. Rookie quarterback Jeff Komlo, starting his first game for Detroit, directed the Lions' comeback. The Lions gained 374 yards in total offense on the day compared to 321 for the Redskins.
