If you oppose Putin then how can you support Biden?

In this video I dive into the situation in Russia with Vladimir Putin's political opponent died in prison and how his supports were arrest for simply morning his loss in public. However, how can you condemn one president for imprisoning a political opponent and his supporters but support Biden for trying to do the same thing?
