Wonder Woman brutally kills Superman and rips his bones out

In this story, Wonder Woman: Dead Earth, Superman is actually defeated by his own ally and friend, Wonder Woman.

The comic takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where Diana wakes up with no memory of what happened. She discovers that there was a massive war and a devastating fire that led to the destruction of Earth. Diana's full power is unleashed when her bracelets are removed, but even that is not enough to stop the nuclear devastation brought upon her home. In the end, her mom, her sisters, her entire world are all destroyed and lost to her.

Superman arrives too late to help, as he had prioritized saving his own parents who were also victims of a nuclear attack in Smallville. Filled with grief and rage, Wonder Woman unleashes her untethered and unlimited power on Superman. They engage in a fight that ultimately leads to the destruction of Earth through collateral damage. And at the end Diana destroys the superman.

It's a heartbreaking story where Diana loses everything she holds dear, and the fight between her and Superman symbolizes the depth of her sorrow and her overwhelming power. This story's not just physically brutal, but emotionally devastating as well. There are superhero defeats that really leave an impact, and this is definitely one of them.
