Faithful Word Baptist Church was founded by Pastor Steven L. Anderson on Christmas Day, 2005, in Tempe, Arizona, and continues to lead the congregation in the heart of the Phoenix area. He was sent out by Regency Baptist Church in Sacramento, California, to start a New Testament church dedicated to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.

Expect no contemporary or liberal messages here—Faithful Word Baptist Church is an old-fashioned, independent, fundamental, King James Bible-only, hellfire, and damnation, soul-winning Baptist Church committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching God’s Word without compromise. We stand firmly on the unshakable truths of the word of God and the timeless values of traditional Christianity.

Faithful Word Baptist Church is a family-integrated fellowship, standing for salvation by "faith alone" and "once saved, always saved." We are united in our dedication to reaching lost souls through door-to-door soul-winning, social media, and global missions.
