Sinn Féin leader, Mary Lou McDonald told Ryan Tubridy on RTÉ's Late Late Show on April 24, 2020, about the worst part of her Covid 'virus' experience - a bacterial infection.

McDonald was one of the lucky ones who got the appropriate treatment for her condition and avoided the dreaded ventilator along with end-of-life drugs midazolam and morphine.
McDonald was one of the first well-known Irish faces to 'get Covid' and went on to promote the trial vaccines along with Late Late Show host Ryan Tubridy, RTÉ presenter Claire Byrne, Newstalk broadcaster Dr Ciara Kelly, who also got Covid around the same time, allegedly.
