Tascam Model 24 - READ ERROR - Possible Simple Fix

I bought a used Tascam Model 24 and got it home to find the card reader was not performing well. I thought the card reader was broken. As it turns out - the firmware on the Tascam was 1.5 and I had previously been recording on my cards with 1.6. After I firmwared to 1.6 - it was a whole new machine... the card reader now reads and writes perfectly after doing the latest firmware update.
