Simple Police Encounter Turns Into Nightmare

On March 2nd, 2022, an officer was dispatched in reference to an unwanted subject. The suspect was observed littering, causing a disturbance, and possibly being under the influence of intoxicants. The male was heavily under the influence of intoxicants and couldn’t understand the officer’s commands. Soon, the suspect was going to behave in an aggressive manner, which would lead the officers to take defensive measures. Shortly after, additional backup arrived to assist the officers. The male was charged with possession of controlled substances, battery upon a peace officer, assault upon a peace officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana
