Deleting non-current object versions on NetApp StorageGRID
This video explains how to create an ILM policy (and rules) required to delete outdated (non-current) object versions from versioned buckets.
A rule to delete such objects can be the default rule, but then it has to be non-filtered i.e. has to apply to all objects. If it's created to apply to only certain tenants or buckets, then it cannot become a part of default ILM policy. Default StorageGRID ILM policy should be as generic as possible, so that you don't have to create many exceptional per-bucket or per-tenant policies. In other words, if you need to delete outdated versions you probably want to do that in a non-default, filtered policy.
