Niagara River Ice Boom

The Niagara River Ice Boom holds back the ice coming from Lake Erie so it doesn't damage infrastructure downstream in the Niagara River. In the spring once the lake is 10% or less ice covered it is removed which sometimes results in an ice flow spectacle.
