What the World Separates, Jesus Brings Together

We live in a world today where peace is hard to find. When Paul was writing his letter to the Ephesians I believe he was thinking the same thing. It is evidenced by proclaiming that Jesus is peace. In those days there was a proverbial wall built between the Jewish community and the Gentiles that was very difficult to climb over or walk through. We see this in how the temple in Jerusalem was built. There was a special designated place for the Gentiles to go and there were signs posted stating, if a Gentile goes beyond a certain point it could lead to their death.

Paul was given the ministry to proclaim the gospel of Jesus to the Gentiles. He did it very well as evidenced by the 13 books He penned in our Holy Bible for all to read today. As God spoke into Paul, he was able to articulate the message of peace by first stating that we were once all sinners in the world. We were aliens to God for our disbelief and rejection of Christ.
