Virginia Lt. Governor Answers "Yes Sir" To Transgender State Senator

During a legislative session in Virginia, Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears responded with "Yes sir" to transgender State Senator Danica Roem,sparking both praise and criticism. Roem is the first out transgender person elected to Virginia’s upper chamber and only the second trans person elected to any state Senate in the United States, following Delaware’s Sarah McBride in 2020.
