2 Peter 1
Peter is talking to the Faithful to remind them how important it is to continue to grow in the faith to avoid stumbling by distinguishing between the true Word and those of false teachers. We need to be fruitful and diligent adding to our faith, virtue, knowledge, self control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindliness and love. The trustworthy prophetic word is true and came from holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit, not by the will of man.
