Is modern news largely fake? ... Probably. At any rate, oodles of people online will spit a story at you and then declare 'you can't make this up'. Except: we can make it up. we're very good at making things up. People build careers out of making things up.
When you see or hear the phrase 'You can't make this up,' I want you to consider what they're really saying:
• Don't question me
• Become outraged
