Space:1999 - Force of Life (S01 E02, 1975)
"Force of Life" is the second episode of the first series of Space:1999.
Considered by many fans to be one of the better story lines (apart from first episode, Breakaway and episode 4, War Games) in this classic Sci-Fi TV series by Gerry & Sylvia Anderson.
The second series had some episodes that were considered watchable, while others had the silliness of Batman Vs Scooby Doo, and aimed more towards a younger American audience that had more of an appeal where aliens seemed to have been inspired by Fred Freiberger plus a packet of Monster Munch - gone were the mysteries of invisible mind forces, human frailties and intergalactic worm holes and replaced with silly cuddly clown monsters.
This episode featured acclaimed British actor, Ian McShane.
The screenplay was written by Johnny Byrne.
The director was David Tomblin.
The original title was "Force of Evil".
The shooting script is dated 15 May 1974 and was aired in 1975 on LWT.
