In 2012, Invistigative Journalist Scott Lewis exposed a corrupt, lazy judge in Detroit, Michigan.
She would show up hours late to court and keep the people who were set to be in front of her waiting for hours because she would show up whenever she felt like it. When Scott exposed her from a tip from an angry parent, this judge was finally investigated by the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission.

In 2014, the Judicial Tenure Commission suspended her for 30 days without pay. The crazy thing is that she got to get 30 days on the beach, then resumed her job as a judge.

I did some digging because when I watch older videos like these, I wonder what happened to these corrupt government officials years later. Turns out Judge Gibson is STILL a judge, even though she was exposed for being lazy and wasting taxpayer dollars as well as the people's money (paying for their attorneys) waiting on her to show up to hear their cases.

UPDATE:
She was re-elected in 2022, and her term expires in January of 2029.

Even though Scott Lewis is retired, he was an amazing journalist, and I have been watching his investigations for years. The world needs more journalists like him who expose corrupt government officials.
