Hector Martin - Petrichor

"Petrichor" taken from the EP "When the Storm It Comes".

I wrote this instrumental bluegrass inspired piece, as a homage to the rain. The meaning of "petrichor" comes from the pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather. This particular smell is very dear to me, as it often reminds me of being truly alive in the moment, and also awakes a lot of memories from throughout the years. Thus, this song was written as a soundtrack to that feeling. Hope you all enjoy!
