Amtrack Announces Cutback On Summer Routes

This summer Amtrack will be cutting back on some of their routes.

The company announced its temporary cutback on train routes for needed upgrades to its infrastructure.

The changes will be with Wolverine Trains 350 and 353, which run between Chicago and Pontiac.

As of May 6th, they will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays only, dropping their Monday through Thursday routes.

The work will be on smoothing some of the turns to allow the train to keep faster speeds.
