This topic may seem unrelated to the problems in the West, but it is not. It's just another piece of the jigsaw puzzle that we all need to grasp to understand the bigger picture and realise who our real enemies are….

Vanessa Beeley is an independent journalist, peace activist and photographer. Vanessa was a finalist for one of the most prestigious journalism awards – the 2017 Martha Gellhorn Prize for Journalism – whose winners have included the likes of Robert Parry in 2017, Patrick Cockburn, Robert Fisk, Nick Davies and the Bureau for Investigative Journalism team.

Vanessa is a presenter on the UK Column, has her on substack and provides commentary on Syria, Yemen, the Middle East and the issues that affect all of us globally. She now lives in Syria and reports first-hand from the ground about the reality of life in the Middle East.

For decades our Governments in the West have lied to us, fomented hatred, interfered in other countries, toppled democratically elected leaders, appointed dictators and tyrants including religious extremists who on the surface appear to be anti-West to suit their own geopolitical goals.

Almost everything you know about the Middle East, told to you by the BBC, CNN and other mainstream outlets is either incorrect, a distraction, misdirection or propaganda. It is designed to manufacture YOUR consent to justify war, violence, death and theft of other countries’ resources.

The aim of having fantastic guests like Vanessa on the show is to shatter the lies and shed light on the truth. I hope that when people realise the magnitude of how much their governments have lied to us on this issue, it will make them ask “What else have they and continue to lie to us about?”.

I know for a lot of people this topic may appear unrelated to their daily concerns and rank low in the list of priorities.

But think about this….

Why do we defend and prop up countries ruled by rich families in the Middle East that are undemocratic?

Why do we spend money giving aid and arms to countries abroad when we so badly need it at home?

Why does our government state openly about the need to defeat Islamic terrorists, while quietly and behind the scenes fund, organise, arm, defend and promote them?

Who benefits from division and hatred?

By bombing countries and destabilising them, do we not create a refugee crisis?

Why are millions of migrants now coming to our lands?

Were there any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? (Spoiler No)

Who gave biological weapons to Iraq during the 80s?

I have a 100 more questions trust me.

And no one in the Western media will ask them, and no politician will answer them.

Our enemies are not bad Muslims, Jews or Christians. Our enemies are the philanthropath class, the psychopaths who own the banks, corporations, the media and our government.

One way of fighting back against them is to stop believing their lies and propaganda and break free of the chains they have used to enslave your mind.
