Mistrial in Brookhaven Fedex Driver Case

On January 24, 2022, #DmonterrioGibson, a black Fedex delivery driver was shot at by two white men/father and son, Gregory and Brandon Case in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Brandon (the son) was charged with aggravated assault and weapons charges and Gregory (the dad) was charged with conspiracy. The Cases were released on bond one day after being charged. In Nov. 2022, the aggravated assault charges were upgraded to attempted first-degree murder and Gibson's lawyers have called for a federal hate crime probe into the shooting.
