Why Science Needs God and Needs Scientists to Have Faith in God

"Science" is a term that some have used as a club against religion. The truth is not in these attacks. Rather, modern science is another gift to the world from the blessings of a culture immersed in a Christian view of the world. Further, when the population loses that view, they soon drift to a view of the world incompatible with true science, as is happening now. In addition, science cannot maintain itself in integrity absent a minimal amount of idealistic faith amongst members of the science community.
