The Soviets overrun the underground field hospital, shove a wounded German soldier aside and force the doctor to care for a Soviet soldier. The doctor is a PoW but he is not allowed to help the German POWs. However, the commandant's son is stricken with a rare disease and the doctor is a specialist in that ailment. A beautiful Soviet doctor has an affair with another German POW.
