Replay: Karen Read 12 March Hearing

Karen Read is accused of second-degree murder for allegedly running over her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O'Keefe. The case has had national media attention on it over claims of a cover-up being run be members of the Massachusetts State Police and the Norfolk District Attorneys Office run by former Massachusetts state legislator Michael Morrissey.

The hearing today was on a motion to dismiss as well as a motion for sanctions against the prosecution. The MtD was supported by a federal investigation into the actions of what appears to be Morrissey's office as well as members of the MSP in this case. We'll be looking at the hearing itself and I'll be providing commentary from a non-lawyer's perspective, and as someone from the outside looking in.
