Rusty Old Billhook Restoration

Hello, my dear friends.
Today I am happy to share a new restoration project with you. Our guest in this restoration video is a rusty old Billhook,
My friend asked me to restore an old rusty billhook, which he found in his garage. It's a garden tool. The task was to etch the working surface of the tool, sharpen it, make a comfortable and massive handle for his hand, and necessarily with a hole for the lanyard. Well, let's start the restoration.

As usual, my "favorite" way is to remove rust, wash, dry, and wipe with oil. Next, using a wire cup brush, I cleaned the surface and proceed to the adjustment of the cutting edge and further sharpen. After that, I etched the blade in an acid solution.
Next, wash the blade with detergent for dishes, drying, and lubricating with oil.
I decided to turn it on a wood lathe.

After processing the handle, I did a test for you as usual. I hope, you will enjoy this restoration video.
