Alec Baldwin's footage of the aftermath of the Rust shooting has been released. The never-before-seen video was shown during the trial of armourer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed and shows Baldwin firing prop guns on set. Film set raises questions about Alec Baldwin's behavior.

Gutierrez-Reed found guilty last week of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in 2021, former Rust armourer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed will learn her prison fate in just over a month. New Mexico Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer has scheduled a sentencing hearing for April 15 at 10amlocal time.

A relatively inexperienced armourer, Gutierrez-Reed was charged in January 2023 with involuntary manslaughter and later with tampering with evidence. She faced up to three years in state prison if found guilty of both charges. After a two-week trial, the jury took less than three hours to reach its verdict on 6 March. The seven women and five men found Gutierrez-Reed guilty on the first charge and not guilty on the second. With the split verdict, Gutierrez-Reed now faces a maximum of about 18 months in prison and a fine of several thousand dollars.

Hutchins was killed by a Colt .45 in the hands of Rust star/producer Alec Baldwin on the Bonanza Creek Ranch set of the low-budget western on 21 October 2021. The live bullets that entered the gun also injured director Joel Souza. Baldwin, who faces a criminal trial in July and numerous civil lawsuits, has always insisted he never pulled the trigger on the gun - a judgement the FBI and other investigators strongly disagree with.

Despite protests from defense lawyers, Judge Sommer ordered Gutierrez-Reed taken into custody immediately after the verdict. She has since been held in a facility near the Santa Fe County courthouse. Baldwin, who was charged with involuntary manslaughter in late January, also faces a four-figure fine and about 18 months in state prison in the Land of Enchantment if found guilty by a jury at his trial this summer.
