Our first interview (after seeing him perform) with Jelly Roll came in May 2016 at the "Rock on the Range" music festival (now called "Sonic Temple") in Columbus, OH. It was obvious at that time how talented and personable he was...it wasn't obvious the course he would take to the top of the charts. In this interview he does talk about being from Nashville and its music scene, but Country didn't come to mind as his natural path to success.
