In this video, I delve into the expanding influence of the BRICS alliance and how it is poised to reshape global power dynamics, both economically and politically. As the group grows, it establishes itself as a counterbalance to the G7 and aims to increase its share of global GDP to 36%, representing nearly half of the world's population. More nations are expressing interest in joining the bloc, affirming the BRICS' positioning for a multipolar world.

In early 2024, five new countries, including Saudi Arabia, Iran, Ethiopia, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), joined the BRICS alliance, expanding its membership to 10. The potential growth of this non-western alliance to 18 members creates a formidable coalition with substantial economic and political power. With this new composition, the BRICS countries have an excellent opportunity to enhance their influence on the global stage and reassess their relationships with other regions, including the European Union (EU). It is crucial for the EU to actively develop partnerships with this emerging coalition at this stage.
