How Can You See the Light Without Darkness?

If we could look at our trials in life as opportunities for God to show others how he will see us through it, and set a good example while patiently waiting and praying for his mercy and guidance, then we would be better students of his teachings for others, and ourselves. I know that it's easier said than done. I'm terrible at doing that myself, but I'm always trying to do better, and I hope you are too.
