The setting in Jericho reminds us that Yeshua is approaching Jerusalem.
1) Yeshua’s entrance into Jerusalem and HIS challenge to the city and its religious leaders. HE cleansed the temple and cursing of the fig tree;2) A series of conflicts and debates between Yeshua and the religious leaders; 3) The Olivet Discourse, where Yeshua predicts the destruction of Jerusalem and the signs of the end of the age.
To get on a colt on which no man has ever sat, and then to ride it through a shouting mob numbering thousands, was remarkable in itself. But remember that everything Yeshua did everything was to accomplish the plan of GOD the Father , fulfilling prophecies.
